This work is a self-portrait done together with Yifat Davidoff, my wife, friend and lover. We have had a long journey together, starting with the amazing fact that we were born in the same year, the same month, the same day, the same hour.  We are cosmic twins.  Exactly the same age to withhin a few minutes.  We entered this world together.  This work explores the breadth and depth of our relationship across time, using the story of Cupid and Psyche as a metaphor.

The form is inspired by a marble sculpture in the Louvre, made by Antonio Canova in 1794: Cupid and Psyche.  We wanted to give love and credit to the amazing artists that came before us, that have inspired and taught and loved and created.
